What to include, in order
- A blessing line. “With the blessings of the Almighty and our elders…”, or the name of your family deity.
- The hosts. Usually the parents, sometimes grandparents or the couple themselves.
- The invitation. “…request the pleasure of your company…” or “cordially invite you and your family…”.
- The couple. Full names, often with “Selvan” and “Selvi”, and their parents’ names.
- Date and muhurtham. Day, date, the auspicious time and the Tamil month if you follow it.
- Venue. Mandapam, hall or temple, with the full address and a map link.
- Other functions. Reception, mehendi or nichayathartham, each with its own time.
- A closing line. “Your presence is our pleasure” or “With best compliments from…”.

How do I write a Tamil wedding invitation?
